Introduction

Sensational food at sensible prices is what you will find at the Black Boy Inn. Our aim is to offer Michelin quality food in relaxed, informal surroundings. From bar snacks to pub classics and a la carte menus our food is simple yet sensational.

Head chef, Kevin Hodgkiss works under the watchful eye of Merchant Inns Michelin starred executive chef, Rob Clayton, to produce delicious, seasonal dishes. Kevin is passionate about food and its presentation. With Rob, he has sourced the best local suppliers, such as Meat Joint, the local butcher who supplies their famous pork and red currant sausages. Vegetables come from local grower The Bite, and seasonal supplies such as asparagus from Wexford Farm.

Food is served daily from 12.00 to 2.30pm (12.00 to 3.00pm Sunday) and 6.30 to 9.00pm (9.30pm on Fridays and Saturdays).

As well as great food, we feel that drink is equally important! The Black Boy Inn is most definitely a pub and as such you will find, alongside our house beer, regularly rotating guest ales. Our wine list is short but extremely comprehensive and naturally has a plentiful supply of fantastic wines by the glass.
